5 Pillars of Building a Successful Home

“Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the LORD guards the city, The watchman keeps awake in vain.”

1.Gratitude

Definition:

Gratitude = the heart attitude of gratefulness, to be grateful.

Gratitude = the weight of thankfulness in your heart

Bless and affectionately praise the LORD, O my soul, And all that is [deep] within me, bless His holy name. Bless and affectionately praise the LORD, O my soul, And do not forget any of His benefits;”

2.Contentment

Definition = to be satisfied, a sense of being full or enough with what you have, sufficiently in God

“But godliness actually is a source of great gain when accompanied by contentment [that contentment which comes from a sense of inner confidence based on the sufficiency of God].”

1 TIMOTHY 6:6 AMP

3.Dependence

Definition = uncompromising trust in God

Definition = Ultimate reliance in god

Trust: Definition: Quiet confidence in God

Trust in and rely confidently on the LORD with all your heart And do not rely on your own insight or understanding.”

PROVERBS 3:5 AMP

4.Salvation

Definition = To be saved in God

Definition = Your title deed

Definition = to Whom do you belong to

The LORD is my light and my salvation— Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the refuge and fortress of my life— Whom shall I dread?”

PSALMS 27:1 AMP

5.Dedication

Definition: life’s ultimate goal

“Surely goodness and mercy and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, And I shall dwell forever [throughout all my days] in the house and in the presence of the LORD.”

PSALMS 23:6 AMP
