Help me know Your desire.

YOU HAVE EXPOSED ME TODAY! is the experience of the Author in God’s presence.

The question today is, are we willing to be exposed by God?

• Deliver me from myself.
• My heart. My mind. Wandering.
• Redeem me from heart. My mind. My desire.
• My cry. Help me know your desire.
• Cleanse my desire to Your desire. My fleshly appetites. It drives me. Transform me by the renewal of my mind.
• What’s in my mind? Bad memories – bitterness – the memories have taken captives over me. Bad memories is due to expectations unfulfilled.
• Self control that will not allow desires to take over me. My flesh must die! Desires in marital relationship.
• Prayer of Dedication: Thank you for the privilege of your presence.  You have exposed me today. Help me control my temple.

Scripture 1: Non-conformance but transformation 

2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Romans 12:2

Scripture 2: Fidelity in marriage / Controlled desires in marriage 

• 3 Let the husband render to his wife the affection due her, and likewise also the wife to her husband. 1 Corinthians 7:3
• 4 The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. And likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. 1 Corinthians 7:4
• 8 But I say to the unmarried and to the widows: It is good for them if they remain even as I am; 1 Corinthians 7:8
• 9 but if they cannot exercise self-control, let them marry. For it is better to marry than to burn with passion. 1 Corinthians 7:9
• 33 But he who is married cares about the things of the world—how he may please his wife. 1 Corinthians 7:33
• 34 There is a difference between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman cares about the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit. But she who is married cares about the things of the world—how she may please her husband. 1 Corinthians 7:34

Scripture 3: Control over one’s temple

• 19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 1 Corinthians 6:19
• 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. 1 Corinthians 6:20

Scripture 4: Flesh must die

12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. 13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. Romans 8:12

Scripture 5: Cause of bitterness

31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. Ephesians 4:31
