A Ministry Shaped by Scripture

The vision of Ezekiel 37 runs like a thread through Rev. Varughese’s ministry — a calling to proclaim the Word of God so that, by the breath of the Spirit, that which is spiritually dead may be brought to life according to God’s sovereign purpose.

Since answering God’s call in the late 1990s, his preaching has consistently emphasised repentance, spiritual renewal, discipleship, and transformation — always grounded in the authority of Scripture and empowered by the Holy Spirit.

His ministry seeks the edification of the Church so that believers may be built together as a spiritual house unto the Lord.

Tentmaker Ministry

In the tradition of the Apostle Paul (Acts 18:3), Rev. Varughese also serves as a tentmaker — sustaining his calling through secular work while bearing witness to Christ in the marketplace through Christian character, service, and integrity.

His life in the workplace is itself a ministry, a living testimony of Gospel values in everyday spheres.

Ministry Journey

1998 — Calling Recognised

The Right Rev. Thomas Mar Timotheos Episcopa recognised Rev. Varughese’s ministerial calling and provided pivotal spiritual direction and theological formation during his formative years.

2002 — Bachelor of Theology

Graduated from Malaysia Theological Seminary (Seminari Theologi Malaysia, STM), establishing a solid evangelical and academic foundation for ministry.

2017 — Ministerial Ordination

Ordained to ministry in May 2017 through the laying on of hands by Bishop David Selvam of Shekinah Glorious Ministries, in accordance with biblical practice (Acts 6:6; 1 Timothy 4:14).

2019 — Ministry Commissioning

Commissioned into ministry service in June 2019 through the laying on of hands by Prophet Dr. Attah Asamoah of Kingdom Partners Network, during a service held in Malaysia — reflecting the New Testament pattern of prayerful sending (Acts 13:2–3).

Rev. George Varughese is an Associate Member of the Evangelical Charismatic Churches of Malaysia (ECCM), reflecting his commitment to accountability, fellowship, and partnership within the broader Body of Christ in Malaysia.

Mission & Vision

Mission

To lead people into life-transforming encounters with Jesus Christ through the faithful proclamation of the Gospel — grounded in Scripture and empowered by the Holy Spirit (Romans 1:16; 2 Timothy 3:16–17).

Vision

To strengthen the household of God (Ephesians 2:19–22) through partnership with churches and pastors — equipping believers for discipleship, spiritual maturity, and effective ministry in Christ-centred communities (Ephesians 4:11–13).

Continuing Ministry Focus

Guided by Micah 6:8 — to walk in love, justice, and humility before God — Rev. Varughese continues to serve as both shepherd and servant under the leading of the Holy Spirit (John 16:13).

He remains committed to the faithful proclamation of the Gospel among the nations (Matthew 28:18–20), with a vision to see believers firmly established in faith and equipped to live out the Gospel in every sphere of life (Colossians 1:28–29).
