Message to the Diaspora Members of the Marthoma Syrian Church and Orthodox Syrian Church in Malaysia
“Behold, I will do a new thing…” Isaiah 43:19 (NKJV)
Friends, this message comes as a reminder for each one of us, 2nd, 3rd, 4th generation of diaspora community; for us to (i) remember the sacrifices of our forefathers (ii) be thankful to God for His blessings; as we anticipate new blessings as God promised to “do a new thing” in our lives.
Recorded this message during my recent ministry trip to Kerala at Karukachal, Changanassery, Kerala
God’s blessing for a fellowship with Thomas Mar Timotheos Episcopa at Olivet Aramana, Thittamel, Chengannur, Kerala
My acquaintance with Mar Timotheos Episcopa was in 1998 while Thirumeni assumed the helmship of the Malaysia-Singapore-Australia Diocese. It was God’s divine intervention for a renewal of friendship after a gap of 20 years.
Inspire of busy schedule, Thirumeni with the benevolent nature that signifies His Grace, with all smiles enquired the well-being of a few members by their names.
It was my blessing to have stayed at Thirumeni’s aramana.
Something significant happened when Thirumeni granted me a audience with His Grace The Metropitan at Poolathen.
I believe something so powerful happened in that room that I feel in the spirit of having endued with the spirit of reformation that birthed the Marthoma Syrian Church.
God’s blessing for a fellowship with Dr. Joseph Mar Thoma Metropolitan at Poolatheen, Thiruvalla, Kerala
My wife and I are truly grateful to God for extending us to Kerala for ministry, where it all started at the land of our forefathers.
