Dear Inviting Pastor / Leader,
My wife and I are truly honored to be invited to minister at your church. We are grateful for the opportunity to share God’s Word and serve the congregation. To ensure that the ministry time flows smoothly, I have outlined some interpretation guidelines below.
INTERPRETATION GUIDELINE (only when required)
1. Translate only what I say : Please refrain from adding anything that I have not explicitly mentioned.
2. Avoid local cultural examples or idioms: These can disrupt the flow of the Holy Spirit’s guidance and may cause distractions
3. Interpreter Preferences : I prefer an interpreter who is theologically trained, preferably male. If no male pastor is available, a female pastor is acceptable.
4. Use simple language for interpretation: The goal is for the message to be understood by everyone, including children. Reasoning: Certain concepts require a deep understanding of biblical truths and theology.
5. Language switch (for services in languages other than English): While I primarily preach in English, I may switch to the other language for emphasis or self-expression. During these instances, please refrain from translating back into English.
6. Technical terms: While I will use simple English, some terms such as “grace,” “reconciliation,” “redemption,” etc., may require more specific translation.
7. Scripture references: Be prepared to read the corresponding verses in the other language as I reference them. If there are many verses, I will read them in English, and you can translate as I go.
8. Engage with the congregation: A good interpreter follows the preacher’s words and actions carefully. Feel free to engage with the audience as needed.
Message Example: Kindly review the attached message for a sample of how the message will be delivered with interpretation. View more on our Youtube Channel https://youtube.com/@lifechangingfactory?si=zx3exd0ZquwoSZVv
GENERAL
1. Microphone: If possible, please provide a wireless microphone to facilitate movement during the sermon.
2. Prophecy: During prophetic moments, maintain privacy by speaking softly without the microphone. Please be available to assist during altar ministry time.
3. Worship Service Timing: Please advise on the exact time of the service so we can plan our travel accordingly.
4. Pre-service Prayer (if applicable): As we believe in team ministry, we would love to pray with you and your ministry team before the service begins.
5. Videography (if applicable): Please arrange for someone to handle the videography (minimal experience required). Note: I will provide my cellphone and a recording stand for use.
6. Altar Ministry:
- Kindly encourage individuals to come with their families for prayer, as this allows for more effective ministry in their family context.
- Assign ushers to help guide people to the altar and afterward.
Note: Please remind the congregation to maintain an atmosphere of worship and prayer during the altar ministry.
7. Honour and Recognition (if applicable): As all glory and honor belong to God, kindly refrain from cultural honors such as garlands, shawls, etc.
8. Church Address and Location:
Kindly send the church address along with a WhatsApp location map, including prominent landmarks, to help with navigation.
9. Biodata of the Speaker:
Feel free to visit this link for my full biodata. For introducing the speaker, you may use an abridged version available here.
We are excited to be part of what God is doing in your church and look forward to a powerful time of ministry together!
