2. Man’s thoughts are often determined / designed by where he is situated / his position

Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
    Nor stands in the path of sinners,
    Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; Psalm 1:1

3. Man’s thoughts / ways / life are thoughts of sin

But we are all like an unclean thing,
And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags;
We all fade as a leaf,
And our iniquities, like the wind,
Have taken us away. Isaiah 64:6

B. GOD’S THOUGHTS ON MAN / WHAT GOD SAYS ABOUT US

a. God’s thoughts are higher than man’s thoughts

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. Isaiah 55:8 
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:9 

b. God made us a little lower than the angels

When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers,
The moon and the stars, which You have ordained, Psalms 8:3

And You have crowned him with glory and honor. Psalms 8:5 

c. God formed us

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you;
Before you were born I sanctified you;
I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5

d. God has a plan for us
